Hello! We had our "25 week" OB appointment today. We are 25 weeks 2 days today. I am happy to report that all is well! The babies are growing like mad, and have no intention of leaving their mommy sanctuary any time soon!
Here are the latest stats on the girls:
Olivia - aka Baby A - 1 lb 14 oz - measuring 2 days ahead (25w4d)
Brianna - aka Baby B - 2 lbs 0 oz - measuring 5 days ahead (26w0d)
They took some pictures of the babies, but all but one of them stink! The girls (as customary) were happy to show off their lady parts, but not really a whole lot else! We did get one good 3D profile pic of Brianna (where you can see her adorable little nose in 3D), but Si hasn't had a chance to scan it in yet, so I can't post it yet.
I do have a couple of belly pics to share with you (of course). These were taken tonight =).
What else? Well, unfortunately I think that maybe my morning sickness is starting to return! I've had a good 8 weeks of eating whatever I want, and now I am starting to be nauseous again. . .especially in the afternoons and evenings. I talked to the OB about it today, and he said that this isn't unusual. It's all of the hormones and such being produced with the twins. This may continue until the babies are delivered. Oye!
And we asked him again about travel to the two weddings in September, and he said I am absolutely NOT allowed to fly at 31 weeks - it's too risky. So unfortunately I won't be able to attend Nick's shower in Annapolis=(. Si can still go though. And as for Josh and Sylvia's wedding the following weekend - so far I am cool to ride/drive in the car - no issue! YAY!
Our next OB appointment is in 3 weeks. I still have to call and set it up. They will be doing the Glucose Challenge Test (one hour glucose test) at that visit, and will also be doing my second round of blood work (to check for anemia among other things), and I will also get my next rhogam shot (because I am Rh-). I thought after the visit today that I would be going to 2 week visits, but I guess not! We will be going to two week visits after the next visit though =).
Oh! And we have a baby shower this weekend on Saturday! I'm pumped! One of my bestest friends Lisa and my sister in-law Bridget are throwing the shower for me and the babies - I can't wait to see what they've come up with!! We have had 44 people RSVP that they were coming - holy big shower Batman!! It's going to be awesome!!! I can't wait to see everyone!!
Okay, that's all for now! Have a great rest of your week!!
You are looking wonderful!!!! Sucky suckerton about having to wait another 3 weeks but good that then you'll be back to 2 weeks appointments! You can still eat cake right?!?!?!?!
ReplyDeleteI'm parking myself next to the cake at the shower on Saturday! :-) Can't wait to see you!
hmmm, i dont remember getting a rhogam shot at all this pregnancy - i mean besides when i was bleeding. I thought you take it once towards the end and then another after birth IF baby is not RH- but maybe im wrong?
ReplyDeleteLooking great! have you gone donw in hours for work yet? i keep saying im going to and thne i feel bad actually talking to boss about it. Plus, i KNOW once i am home i will feel super guilty not working and bringing in some $$$, lol.
I am one that hates being the center of attention so showers give me a lil anxiety but they are so much fun for everyone and people are so generous! Have a great time and hope you all play some great games! :-)
Hey I found you on M&M. You are about 3 weeks behind me but it looks like we're both having 2 girls! You look great- its amazing how fast you grow. I feel like I went from "Can people really tell I'm pregnant?" to "Oh my gosh, you're going to deliver any day now aren't you?" in about a month. Keep taking it easy and putting your feet up- looking forward to following your blog.
ReplyDeleteLOL Sheila! I can most definitely still eat cake!!!! I can't wait to see you either! It's been almost a month! Crazy!
ReplyDeleteChels - yeah, so with the rhogam shot they didn't give it to me when I had the SCH earlier on in the pregnancy. They normally do it at 28 weeks. So you won't get one at 28 weeks then? I think you get one after delivery too. . .
As for work, I go in late nearly every day, but I still manage to work 8 hours a day. I am going to continue for as long as I can. I will be incredibly happy if I can make it to 34 weeks, but I'm thinking 32 may be more realistic. I know a lot of ladies stop working at 28, but I just can't take that much time off if I want to take 12 weeks after the babies get here. Such a delicate balance! Have you decided when you are cutting down hours or stopping work yet?
Stephanie - Hello! Welcome!! Thanks so much for dropping by! Congrats on yrou wtin girls too! I absolutely agree with you, it was within just a few weeks that I too went from "do I really look pregnant" to "is that baby ready to come out yet?". . .it's crazy how quickly you grow!! Thanks for your comment!!
OMG It has been a month! UNACCEPTABLE! Let's park both our butts next to that cake!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting about your shower! Good luck with your glucose test. I just took my second one-hour because I started spilling sugar in my urine (I'd passed a few weeks ago but have had high blood sugar with my two previous pregnancies so it's time to test again).
ReplyDeleteAs usual, love the belly pics! You look great! :)
